Lorem Ipsum in English: Plausible Nonsense to Replace Lorem for Web Design Testing

Abstract

Computer generation of text. Mock Latin, Lorem Ipsum, is not meant to make sense but simply to fill space to show how a functioning web page would look filled with text. It can seem odd, though, and something that is nonsense but mocks plausible English a bit better could look more convincing to customers. Here we have what looks like literary criticism, often nonsense anyway, but here unquestionably nonsense which ought not to distract customers once they have verified for themselves that it is. Try out Lorum Ispum in English. Click the button to generate fresh nonsense.

The period of the patriarchs, exodus, conquest, or judges as devised by the writers of Scriptures… never existed.

Lorem Ipsum in English

To characterize a linguistic level, it has not been given proper recognition by a real eye-opener for empiricists modern or postmodern. From observation, it follows that our post-literate society, more than ever before, breaks the mould of a corpus of literary tokens upon which conformity has been defined by the paired Student’s t test. Notice, incidentally, that every single one appears to correlate rather closely with standards by which we may judge ourselves. Of course, a comparison between Roman Society and Medieval Society will get to the other side of the issue of criticism. Let us consider that an important property of these three types of criticism revolves around an important part to play in the development of man. We will bring evidence in favor of the following thesis, Capitalism, red in tooth and claw, still draws a necessity for anyone wishing to advance intellectually. To really understand criticism, the poor spectrum represented by a single specimen is impossible to overestimate in its impact on problems of phonemic and morphological analysis. We have already seen that the earlier discussion of deviance illustrates the primary concern of those involved with its increasing relevance to understanding future generations. Note that placing theory on the scales of justice and weighing it against practice cannot be arbitrary in a stipulation to place the constructions into these various categories. There is no longer a need to argue that the bulk of today’s discoveries unerringly illustrates the strong generative capacity of the theory.
Eagle Terryton, The Armchair Lefty

Before you go, think about this…

Pseudoscience begins with an implausible but emotionally appealing hypothesis, then offers as evidence only whatever supports it. Conflicting evidence is ignored. Pseudoscience rationalizes strongly held emotional beliefs. It does not investigate what is actually going on, or consider alternative more reasonable and likely explanations. Pseudoscience wants congenial conclusions, grinds ideological axes, and appeals to pre-conceived ideas and misunderstandings. (Distinguishing Science and Pseudoscience, csj.org)

The Wisdom of Carl
One of the saddest lessons of history is that, if we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.
Carl Sagan, The Demon Haunted World (1996)
